Trompe L'Oeil  View of Central Park:

Size:         5’w x 7’ h
Medium:   Oil on canvas, mounted to the wall
Status:      Completed 1996

Location:

Private residence
Central Park West, New York City

Description:

This patron lived on Central Park West, but had no view of the park. To remedy this, photos were taken from a neighbor’s apartment providing accurate reference for a painted view. The design is an extension of the architecture, with trompe l’oeil doors fashioned after the existing dining room French doors, creating the illusion of a balcony and visually expanding the space.
